Title: Mina, this means I love you - Chapter 3 Rating: G By: Moondreams16 Notes: Enjoy The others looked at him in astonishment. He grinned widely at their faces. "You're deaf?" asked Serena. Robin smiled and nodded. "Then how come you came to the concert?" Serena asked with curiosity. "Serena!" came the shocked voice of Rae. "No that's ok. Chill out Rae you'll find I don't get easily offended. I like the music. I can feel the beats and rhythms that come with concerts. Besides where else can I meet pretty girls. Hey, I can be at the airport all the time," said Robin. Mina blushed a deep scarlet. "Hey, is that why you talk funny?" asked Serena. Rae felt like smacking Serena that very minute and would have out of embarrassment if Lita hadn't been standing between her and Serena. "Do I? I guess being deaf is the reason," laughed Robin. "And all this time I thought you just talked like that because you were from the United States," said Serena sincerely. Tears were coming down Robin's face because he was laughing so hard. "I am sorry Serena. I am not laughing at you. Honest. I just never thought I talked differently. You are right though, I am from the US," he said. "So what brings you to Japan, Robin?" asked Darien. "Well I am studying at the Tokyo Center of Fine Arts," remarked Robin. "Hey! So are we!" exclaimed Lita in amazement. "Really? Small World," said Robin with a small smile. Then he looked down at Mina and asked, "Are you included?" Before she could answer Serena exclaimed, "Yeah, she's a ballerina and she's taking dance class to improve her techniques." "I have a little cousin who wants to become a ballerina. I am sure she would love to meet you," said Robin. "I would love to meet her," said Mina and she looked up into his merry greenish blue eyes. Just like in the airport, her heart skipped a beat. Unbeknownst to her, Robin was also hypnotized by Mina's lovely blue eyes. He felt like he could spend an eternity like this. Darien cleared his throat and gave the girls a look telling them to give the two some privacy. The others obeyed although quite reluctantly. Mina was the first to break out of the trance. "I think I should go," she said and started to turn away. "I want to see you again and not just by accident," he said as he spun her around to face him. "Are you asking me to go on a date with you?" Mina asked with a bit of a smile. " Yeah," said Robin and ran his fingers through his hair. "And what if I say no?" asked Mina grinning mischievously. "Then I'll look you up in the phone book and come to your house," said Robin grinning. "You wouldn't dare and what would you do there?" asked Mina. "I would in a heartbeat. I would serenade you but since I can't sing that would be a very bad idea. If I tried I would probably get the dogs howling. I can't write poetry very well either so I guess I just have to beg, like a dog, on my hands and knees," said Robin with a grin. "You better not sing. I have a cat that hates dogs. Where do you want to go?" asked Mina smiling feeling any minute she would be walking on air with happiness. "How 'bout the ice cream shop by the Triple Crown Arcade?" he asked knowing that Mina would never know his joy at the moment. "Sounds great!" There was a rustling outside of Mina's window. Slowly the window was forced up and a female dressed in a mini dress and high platform shoes entered. She was what most guys would call hot with curly blonde (it used to be a mousy brown but she dyed it to blonde) hair and deep blue eyes. "You're late," commented Mina not looking up from her magazine. "Don't start," said Mina's sister with annoyance. "Mom's gonna ground you if you don't getting home before curfew," said Mina. "Give me a break. I just had an amazing night and almost killed myself climbing up that stupid terrace," grumbled her sister as she threw off her shoes. "That's what you get for wearing those," said Mina as she pointed to the platforms with disdain. Even though they were in style she would never wear anything like that. Secretly she was afraid she would fall and break an ankle but Julie, her sister never thought of things like that. "Oh stop already! You would never understand," said Julie as she flopped down in one of Mina's over stuffed chairs. "Oh wouldn't I? I'm just smart enough to get back before curfew," exclaimed Mina as she put down the magazine. "Yeah, whatever, its not like you ever go out on dates anymore," said Julie sarcastically. "For your info, I am going on a date tomorrow," said Mina and smiled at her sister's surprise. "And who is he?" asked Julie pretending not to be really interested but failing completely. "His name is Robin. He's gorgeous and studying at the fine art center. Any more questions?" asked Mina. " Sounds to me like you are making this whole thing up," commented Julie dryly. Mina groaned inwardly. Her sister was such a pain. "Am not! He's totally hot with dark blonde hair and greenish blue eyes and he's from America. Happy?" asked Mina with a tone of annoyance. "So how did you meet him?" asked Julie. "He was at that concert I went to tonight and we sort of bumped into each other," explained Mina and started reading her magazine as if trying to forget Julie was in the room. "And? How could you get to know each other? When I go to concerts everyone is practically deaf from the loud music, but then again why would I want to waste time talking when I could be doing other things," said Julie to herself. Mina knew exactly what she was talking about. Julie spent most of her dates lip locked with the guy she was out with at the time. Mina started giggling uncontrollably and then she burst out laughing until tears were coming down her face. "What? Girl, you have lost it," commented Julie not knowing what to make of her sister's strange behavior. "What an odd choice of words you have Julie. You see, Robin is deaf," said Mina as she started wiping the tears from her face. "Girl, you have lost it. Why in the world would a deaf guy go to a concert?" asked Julie totally not believing her sister. "He said he liked the beats. Get that look off your face, Julie. There is nothing wrong with him being deaf. None of us didn't even know it until he told us," said Mina as she continued reading her magazine. "Yes there is! It just isn't normal for you to go out with a handicapped person. He should date some deaf girl. Just watch Mina. You are way over your head with this one. I bet he'll have you crying in less then a week. Don't come running to me 'cause I warned you," said Julie as she grabbed the purse she had been carrying and left the room. "Whatever. You have no idea what you are talking about," said Mina after her. She hoped that her sister was dead wrong. To_be_continued..... E-mail_me_please_at moondreams16@yahoo.com
