Title: The Forgotten Guardian ~ Chapter 6 By: Moondreams16 Notes: School's almost over! I just have exams next week. (Yuck, especially Geometry) I hope ya'll like this chapter. Enjoy. Alexis grew stiff with fear. What was that moving on her bed? She refused to open her eyes. It came closer. Now her heartbeat was pounding out of control. Suddenly there was a hissing sound. Alexis opened her eyes to see a slithering green creature. SNAKE!! Alexis screamed with all her might and jumped out of bed as fast as she could. Mrs. Lee opened the door with such great force that the pictures on the wall almost fell off. "What is going on?" asked Mrs. Lee with a mixture of fear and surprise. "There is a snake on my bed!" practically yelled Alexis. "Bobby come and get that thing," said Mrs. Lee. Bobby came in laughing uncontrollably. "I am gonna kill you brat if it's the last thing I do! Where did you get that thing anyway?" asked Alexis angrily. "You are such a chicken. Kawaii wouldn't hurt anybody. Duhhhh. I am baby sitting her for my 4th grade class," explained Bobby as he picked up the python. "You called that thing "cute"?" asked Alexis in disbelief. "Better hurry up or you are going to be late for school, Alexis," said Mrs. Lee. Alexis sighed in frustration and started to get changed. "Good, Alexis. Now just raise your leg about a half an inch more as you hit the target. Good. Very good," commented Grandpa as he watched with pride. Alexis was a fast learner and already proved that she would make a very good fighter with more lessons. "My gosh! I better get back to school. Lunch is almost over. Thanks Grandpa," said Alexis as she ran out. She put on her skates and quickly started toward the school. She rounded a corner to quickly and bumped into Chad and Rae. "Hey Alex," said Chad. "Hey watch were you are going!" yelled Rae with crossed arms. Alexis ignored her. "Hey Travis told me how you flipped him. That would have been awasome to see," said Chad. "It was funny since I didn't know it was him!" laughed Alexis. "So how was your lesson with Grandpa?" asked Chad. "Great! Can't wait for my next one," said Alexis. "Come on Chad! We're going to be late," said the annoyed Rae and pushed Chad forward. "Alright I am going," said Chad with a grin and started walking back toward Cherry Hill. Rae waited till Chad was out of ear shot and started, "Who do you think you are? Why are you ruining all of our lives?" Alexis looked at her in amazement. "I have no idea what you are talking about," said Alexis. "Don't you? We've all seen you flirting with our guys. Can't you find one guy who is taken and go out with him or do you always have to go for a guy who already has a girl friend," yelled Rae. "I am not trying to take anybody's guy away from them," commented Alexis and turned to leave. Rae grabbed on to her shoulder. "You don't belong here. Go back to the USA where you belong and leave us alone!" yelled Rae and stormed off. Alexis started toward the school in a blinding speed to lose some off the frustration that was building up inside her. She hadn't taken any guys. She didn't even really want a boyfriend. She had heard the guys speak about their girlfriends in such affection. Even Chad talked about Rae as if she was the greatest gift on Earth. Alexis pulled off her skates quickly as she neared Crossroads High School. She ran through the emptying halls. As she neared Mrs. Hakuna's classroom she slipped in something and landed flat on her back. "Oww," she exclaimed as she lifted herself up carefully as to see if anything was broken. "OH I am so sorry. My drink spilled when I was walking down the hall," said a girl with a mop in her hand. Alexis recognized her as Lita in her history class. Which she was supposed to be in! "That's ok. I am going to be late!" said Alexis and rushed into the classroom only to have the bell ring before she sat down. "Your late, Alexis," said Mrs. Haruna sternly. "It wasn't her fault Ms. H. Alexis slipped on a drink I had spilled," said Lita. "You are late too Lita. I will hear no excuses. Both of you report to detention after school," commanded Ms. Haruna. Alexis put her head down on her desk. Today was just not her day. "I can't believe this! That was my first detention I have gotten here in my entire life!" exclaimed Lita as she and Alexis left the detention room. Alexis said nothing. She simply sat on the school steps and proceeded to get out her blades and helmet. Her wavy black hair that was usually in a pony tail was now down and covering her face as she leaned over her book bag. Lita noticed her hands shake a bit as she pulled out on roller blade. "Hey what's wrong? Detention is not that bad," said Lita. Alexis said nothing. "What's wrong?" commanded Lita in a much firmer voice. "Just leave me alone!" snapped Alexis revealing her tears by the choked up sound to her voice. "You know, I forgot to thank you for what you did for my friend Mina," said Lita. Alexis looked up at her in amazement and wiped away her tears with the back of her hand. "It was nothing. Anyone else would have done the same," she said. "No they wouldn't. Now what's wrong? Homesick?" asked Lita. "I hate it here. I just wished I could go home," said Alexis. "Come on. I know the perfect place for us to talk," said Lita. "...so finally Rae walked off and then I got detention," finished Alexis. "Well Rae is just over protective about people she care about. It's not really her fault but all the rumors," said Lita. "Rumors? About me?" asked Alexis with shock. "Yeah, because of them, many people think you are a major flirt. We're here," said Lita. A white square sign read, Tokyo International Gardens. "Come on. You are going to love this place," said Lita as she led Alexis into the gardens. "Anyway, the same thing happened to me 'cept everyone thought I was a bully because I got into a couple fights in my old school. But Serena proved the theory wrong. All it takes is somebody to prove it wrong," said Lita. Alexis amazed by what she saw. Huge trees made a canopy of leaves. Strange looking flowers grew next to the walkway. "This place is beautiful but not as beautiful as Virginia. It's fall there and by now all the leaves are changing. I lived next to the Blue Ridge Mountains and people would come from miles to see the leaves change. It was gorgeous," said Alexis as if remembering the mountains that really did look blue. She had a distant look on her face and let out a sad little sigh. "Thanks Lita, but I really got to get home now," said Alexis and smiled a little smile and skated off. The sun began to set and alighted the sky with flames of orange, pink, and blue. Suddenly Lita heard the yells of "MONSTER! MONSTER!" Lita pulled out her communicator and pushed a button. "Hey scouts! Hurry and get over to the International Gardens," Sailor Sol arrived to find the battle going on. "You're late Sol! Picking up your sister's habits?" asked Sailor Mars. "Moon Scepter Elimination," yelled Sailor Moon and the monster disintegrated. "Sorry, I was giving Alex a ride home," said Sailor Sol. Mars groaned in disbelief. "We could have used some help." She commented. Scilite appeared. "Now you are going to get it. Mars Firebird Strike!" yelled Sailor Mars. She had been waiting to get even with Scilite. Scilite just disappeared before the flaming bird hit him. "You are such a chicken, Scilite!" yelled Sailor Mars. A pink rose flew through the air and hit the ground sending green sparks every where. A door of gold set with emeralds rose out of the ground. Leaves and lighting were carved into it. "Take this Scouts. Nega Light Needles!" said Scilite and silver thorn like objects flew through the air. The silver falcon swooped toward Scilite with talons outstretched. The falcon hit it's mark and there were 6 long scratches on Scilite's shoulder. "Stupid bird. Take this!" yelled Scilite and sent Nega Light energy toward the bird. The falcon swooped out of the way of the energy. With Scilite's attention now concentrated on the falcon, this gave the scouts time to walk through the door. Sailor Sol gave out a whistle. The falcon stopped in mid air and flew through the door after Sol. The door closed before Scilite could enter. "Foiled again," laughed Venus. They entered a room of gold decorated with emeralds and green tapestries. A party was going on and the little princess's were gathered around Lita who looked to be about 8. Lita was opening expensive looking gifts. "Mingle and see what we can find," commanded Sailor Mars. Sailor Sol posted himself by the door as he watched people come in. Mercury placed herself by the scout's younger selves. Mars and Jupiter posted themselves around a group of gossiping women. Venus stood where the maids where sitting a table full of delicious looking food who happened to be chattering. Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask were left together. "I guess I'll go help Sol," he said hurting inside that she was being so aloof toward him. "I'll help Mercury," said Sailor Moon and the two turned and walked in different directions. Sailor Sol clenched his teeth in pain. Even now the wound in his side from one of the needles was showing its self by the red spot on his scout uniform. The falcon flew down and landed on his shoulder. "Hey, thanks. You were able to distract Scilite so we could get here," said Sailor Sol as he stroked the falcon's silvery and white feathers. "Halt, who goes there?" commanded on of the guards. Tuxedo Mask showed up on Sol's left. "What's up?" he asked. "Somebody's coming," said Sol. A white carriage approached. A small lady, whom Sol recognized as Queen Eclipse stepped out. A little girl about 8 or 9 stepped out after her. She was carrying a small present. An older boy looked out of one of the carriage's windows and watched them. "Halt," commanded the guard. "We've been invited," said the little girl and frowned at the guard. "Hush, we have been invited. Now will you let us through?" asked Queen Eclipse serenely. "Proceed," said the guard frowning never the less. Queen Eclipse raised her head and walked fearlessly toward the party. The others scouts had noticed her entrance also for the room became uncannily quiet. "Go wish Princess Lita happy birthday," said Eclipse whose quiet voice seem to echo in the room. The little girl gulped a bit nervously and walked slowly to the group of little princesses. "Happy Birthday, Princess Lita," said Aurora as she handed the gift to Lita. The room buzzed with whispering. "Who are you? I don't remember you being invited," said the fire princess (we can all guess who that is). Princess Aurora stamped her foot and said, "I was invited and my name is Aurora of the Light Kingdom." The other girls were diffently curious. "I thought everyone from the Light Kingdom were bandits and thieves and bad people," said Princess Mina, who was just repeating something she had heard not really understanding it. "We're not!" said the little Light Princess. "I heard your Mother was so desperate for a husband that she choose a peasant," said Princess Rae. "Rae! Your father is going to whip you for saying that!" said the shocked little Serenity. "Well I heard that you were all royal pains in the butt!" yelled Aurora and stormed away. Queen Eclipse watched her daughter storm past and gave a slight bow to the royal couple of Jupiter. "Thank you for inviting us but I am afraid we must leave. Our presence seems to be causing to much conflict," said Queen Eclipse. Tuxedo Mask and Sol watched as little Aurora climbed back into the carriage. The boy, who had silver hair and blue eyes, said, "Its ok, look what I got you." He held out a rose and handed it to Aurora who gladly accepted it. "Thanks Austrialus," said Aurora who hugged the boy. The boy in turn blushed a bit. Queen Eclipse got into the carriage and said nothing. The carriage drove off. "So that is Austrialus," said Sol bitterly. Tuxedo Mask nodded. There was a squeal inside and the scouts rushed to see what all the commotion was about. In the little princess of Jupiter's lap, was a small tree and growing on the tree was little balls that looked like bubbles or tears in which color ran through them like little rainbows. "Unbelievable," said Mercury. "Totally," agreed Sailor Moon. The falcon flew down and dropped something in Sol's hand. A green leaf, set in emeralds. Sol put it next to the globe, there was a flash of light and the leaf appeared in it. Again like the previous 2 nights, the Falcon led the scouts out. "So what you are saying is that, Austraialus might not be such a bad guy?" asked Rae in shock. "Exactly but somehow I doubt that," said Travis. "Do you think that this Princess Aurora might be a Sailor Scout?" asked Amy. The others shrugged. "Or maybe she could also be one of the bad guys. It is possible. Maybe she fell in love with Austrialus," said Jupiter. "Maybe..." said Sailor Moon who seemed to be in space at the moment. "We do know is that none of them seem to take very kindly to Eclipse or her daughter," said Tuxedo Mask. "I don't think it was our fault though," said Mina who was listening continently. "Travis, what are you doing up so late?" called out a voice. Travis turned to see Alexis who just skated up beside him. "I could ask you the same question," said Travis with a smile. "I asked you first," said Alexis. "Well if you are so curious, I just got back from... a party with some of my friends," lied Travis. "Oh well I...I couldn't sleep and ..." stumbled Alexis who couldn't finish. "That was dumb. So body could just pick you up and carry you off," said Travis as he wrapped his arms around her and threw her on his shoulder. She squealed and started pounding on his back. "Let me down now!" commanded Alexis. Travis breathed in sharply as she hit to near to his wound. "Travis, what's wrong? TRAVIS, what happened?" asked Alexis is shock. Travis put her down slowly. She stared at him then lifted up one of his arms to reveal the darkening spot on his shirt. "I kind of fell against something. I am going home to mend it right now," said Travis. "You should've told me. Guy's are so dumb," exclaimed Alexis as she left up his shirt. "What do you think you are doing?" asked Travis. "Duh, what do you think?" she replied sharply and removed articles out of her always present little book bag. Travis winced slightly as Alexis put rubbing alcohol on the jagged cut. "Guys are such babies. Here maybe this will help," said Alexis as she blew softly on it. "My brothers and sisters always said that help. They were always getting in scrapes. Like just a month ago, Ben fell out of tree and broke his arm. He claimed that Caleb had pushed him. Caleb said Ethan had done it. One time, my sister Danielle was trying to impress this guy by tightrope walking a fence and she fell and cut up her arms on some rocks. I never did think she was going to stop crying," said Alexis who knew she was babbling a bit but didn't really care. "So what are your brother's and sisters names?" asked Travis. "Well first there is me, then Benjamin and Caleb who are 14. Then there is Danielle who is 13 Then Ethan who is 10. Then there is Felicity who is 7. Now my Mom is going to have twins. So that will be 8 kids total," said Alexis. "So your family pretty much goes in the ABC order, right?" asked Travis. "Right, may I walk you home my guardian angel?" asked Travis with a noble bow. Alexis smiled and nodded. "Yes you may."
