Title: The Forgotten Guardian ~ chapter 5 By: Moondreams16 Rating: G Notes: Birdie and Catsy are in this one but this is after they have been healed if anyone is wondering. Thanks to all the e-mail I have been getting. Umm no fire or death threats. I guess I must be doing something right. Enjoy. =o) 14 more days of school and counting... Travis was true to his word and picked Alexis up the day of the secret meeting. When Alexis saw Travis's house her jaw dropped. "No way!" she said in disbelief as she saw a mansion stretch out on a well-cut lawn. "This is your house?" asked Alexis still not believing her eyes. "Actually it's Uncle Jake's, my guardian," said Travis. "Cool I would love to live in a big house like this back home. I mean my house back home is so small compared to this. My brothers and sisters would love it," commented Alexis revealing a bit of homesickness in her voice. "So how many siblings do you have?" asked Travis as he helped Alexis out of the car. "5, 2 sisters and 3 brothers and twins on the way. So there are 9 of us in the house with my parents and Grandmother," said Alexis. "You sure are lucky," said Travis. "Does anyone ever get lost in this house?" asked Alexis with curiosity. Travis threw back his head and started laughing. "A lot of people. I am half tempted to have Uncle Jake put signs around here," laughed Travis. Travis led her through the maze of rooms in to another huge room. This room looked very lived in with a huge couch and about 4 over stuffed chairs. The other boys were sprawled out watching a basketball game on a TV almost as tall as the wall. "Come on guys. We're supposed to be planning a party not watching TV," said Travis as he picked up the remote and turned the TV off. The guys groaned well naturally. "Pay up," commanded Greg as he held out his hand toward Chad. Chad groaned and reached up his pocket and pulled out a five-dollar bill. "What was the bet?" asked Travis. "That we wouldn't get to watch the last 30 minutes of the game," said Greg with a smile. "Chad here as been trying to beat Greg on a bet for months and he loses every time," explained Travis to Alexis. Greg grinned mischievously and stuffed his winnings into his pocket. "All right, but just watch it Greg one of these day's I am gonna beat you," swore Chad. "Doubt it," mumbled Darien a bit to loudly. "Hey!" shouted Chad and threw one of the couch's pillows at him. Unfortunately Chad didn't have a good aim and it smacked Alexis right on the face. "Uh, sorry Lexis," apologized Chad but it was too late. The pillow hit him smack on the side of his head. "Pillow Fight!" yelled Andrew and grabbed up a pillow. Pillows started flying. Alexis ducked as a pillow soared over her head. "Ha, ya missed me," laughed Alexis. "Don't be to sure of that," came a devious voice from behind her and a pillow whacked her in the back. She spun around to see Travis. "That is cheating! Take this you," shouted Alexis as she picked up the pillow and whacked it into Travis's stomach. "She too much for you to handle Travis?" asked Darien who had come up behind them. "Well I can tell you one thing this is no lady," said Travis. "Hey!" shouted Alexis in protest and jumped on Travis. "YOU take that back!" commanded Alexis as she hit him with a pillow. "Alright I surrender! Thou is the finest lady..." said Travis in his dramatic old English. He paused. "In this room," he said. The others burst out laughing. Alexis made a face and whacked him with a pillow. "Alright, I said I surrendered, fair lady," said Travis and one by one the others dropped their pillows. They all took a seat in the chairs or on the couch. "When's the party?" asked Chad. "Well I've thought it over and I think it should be in 4 days, so Saturday in other words. Now how are you all...or as Alexis would say, how are ya'll going to get the girls to come?" asked Travis. Alexis glared at him. The guys thought this was very funny and started laughing. "Ya'll are soooo funny," she exclaimed making them laugh harder. She rolled her eyes. "O.K, we'll stop. Now, I can get Serena here with out suspicion," commented Travis turning serious. "I can tell Ami that you need some tutoring," said Greg. "Alright tell her I need help in Geometry. (author's note: Death to Geometry. OK now you can return to the story) What about you Chad?" asked Travis. "Easy, You've a great library. Rae's been dying to get her hands on some of your books," commented Chad with somewhat furtive smile. "That's great! What about you, Ken?" asked Travis. "Lita will think she is going to cook dinner for the 3 of us," said Ken. "Sounds good. How 'bout you Andrew?" questioned Travis. "Mina is going to watch the newest Sailor V movie with yours truly on your big screen TV," said Andrew. "Alright who can bring what?" asked Travis. "I'll bring drinks," spoke up Darien. "I can bring music," said Andrew. "Movies here," said Chad. "Plates and cups," said Greg. "Alright I'll supply the food and Alexis you can bring the decorations," said Travis. "I can't," said Alexis as she squirmed a little. "Why not?" asked Travis. "Remember I've just been for a little more then a week. I have no idea to where to get them," said Alexis. "Why don't we all go right now and pick them up?" suggested Greg. The others nodded. "Travis? Travis where are you?" called out Alexis nervously. * How could he leave me? I don't know my way around here! How could he leave me like this? * Suddenly a hideous masked face popped out from being a corner making Alexis jump. Quick as lightening flipped her attacker on his back. "Oww Alex! That hurt!" Alexis ripped off the mask to see Travis's grinning face. "Boy's are such babies. Serves you right for scaring me!" exclaimed Alexis with crossed arms. "Thou frightened, my lady?" asked Travis as he lifted himself off the floor. "In case, thou wondered, Thou just got his butt kicked!" exclaimed Alexis making Travis smile wider. "Don't you dare stand there laughing at me! If you do it again you won't live to see morning," promised Alexis angrily. "Where did you learn to do that? I am almost twice as big as you," asked Travis in amazement. "One of my brother's took a self defense class and taught me and some of my other brothers to do it," explained Alexis. "Cool." Then he smiled mischievously. "Will you forgive me if I treat you to an ice cream?" asked Travis. "Ah bribery I see," said Alexis as she pretended to examine Travis with a fake magnifying glass she pulled off one of the store's shelves. She started circling him as if she was Sherlock Holmes examining a clue. "My dear, Sherlock Holmes, how ever did you solve the mystery?" asked Travis with a fake British accent. "Elementary, my dear Watson, for you see if our suspect hadn't offered an apology he would be on Miss. Jone's revenge list. So I must conclude, Dr. Watson, that the bribery was just a last resort to make sure Miss. Jone's accept his apology," concluded Alexis. Travis threw back his head and laughed. "You are a genius, Mr. Holmes," said Travis and gave her a formal bow. "You are such a suck up but after such a good performance I just have to accept your offer," laughed Alexis and playfully punched him on the arm. "Hey Travis!" called out Chad who had popped his head out of one of the stores. Travis took the last bite of ice cream and said to Alexis, "I'll be right back." Alexis watched as he ran to join Chad. "Hey!" called out a woman to Alexis. Alexis turned to see a young woman with white hair and blue eyes standing behind a counter. "Do you want to try some of our top quality makeup?" she asked as she motioned to the glowing golden sign above the store. It read Crescent Moon Cosmetics. Alexis hesitated but she neared the counter to get a better look at the merchandise. Another young woman came from the back of the shop. "Are you bothering customers again, Birdie? Please excuse my sister, Miss, she gets a little to excited sometimes," said the woman with purple hair. "That's ok," said Alexis softly. "Don't fuss at me Catsy! Guess what?! She was with young Travis Watson!" squealed Birdie. Alexis blushed. "Birdie!" scolded Catsy in embarrassment over her sister's behavior. "Here sit down. What's your name? How did you meet Travis? Oh this is so exciting! Avery is simply going to die when I tell her!" exclaimed Birdie as she led Alexis to a seat. "You're embarrassing her Birdie! You've been reading too many romance novels," said Catsy. Birdie ignored her. "So?" asked Birdie as she waited for Alexis to answer. "My name is Alexis and I met him at school," said Alexis simply. Birdie laughed merrily and proceeded to put make up on Alexis's face. "Birdie, you're hopeless," said Catsy. "I know! That's what makes life so interesting! The boy's gonna flip when he sees you!" said Birdie happily. "Oh we're not going out together," said Alexis. "Oh you will be," exclaimed Birdie. "Birdie, hush!" scolded Catsy. Birdie frowned at her sister and pulled out a mirror "Here take a look." Alexis gasped at her reflection. This surely couldn't be her, she had never seen with a lot of make up on. She always just put on a little bit of blush and lip-gloss if she wanted to look nice. " Hey Lexis," called out Travis's voice. Travis almost passed out in shock when she turned around not believing his eyes. The other guys couldn't seem to believe it either. The others whistled and started making catcalls laughing when she started to blush. Long dark eyelashes surrounded sparkling green eyes. A rosy blush accented her high cheekbones and her mouth looked fuller with a dark red lipstick. Travis always knew she had been very attractive. Pretty enough to turn most guys' heads at school but now she looked drop dead gorgeous. Travis couldn't believe this was the girl who showed up him and Darien skating. "Gee, Alex, you look..." started Travis. "Go on and say it Travis, totally hot," said Birdie merrily. "Birdie! I should have known," said Travis as he stared at Alexis and Birdie with an unreadable expression on his face. "You do look pretty Alex," said Darien. Greg elbowed Travis and in returned received a dirty look. "Yeah, Lexis, you look different," said Travis. Alexis quickly hid her disappointment. She had been expecting him to say she looked pretty at least, not different. "Thanks, " she said quietly. "Well just don't stand around staring. We have some more shopping to do," exclaimed Alexis. "Don't worry little one. Just watch on day you both will be inseparable," whispered Birdie with an expression that said 'I know a secret,' "You keep on like that and you are going to lose her," whispered Greg. Travis looked at Greg with surprise. "Have you been picking through my brain lately?" asked Travis annoyed. "I don't have to. You have a crush on her and its so obvious that everyone knows it but you and her," commented Greg. Travis said nothing. "If you don't tell her how you feel you are defiantly gonna lose her. I should know. It took me the longest time to tell Ami how I feel and I almost lost her because of it. But I got a second chance. You might not be so lucky." Sailor Sun stuck out her tongue at the furious Scilite. "Come on, Sun, you are so immature at times," snapped Sailor Mars but she was smiling. "Hey look you guys," said Sailor Jupiter as they stepped through a golden door engraved with intertwining suns and moons. This time a gold rose had appeared from out of no where and so did the silver falcon. The scouts stepped one by one through the door into a room of silver and white marble. Queen Serenity was one a throne and King Sol was standing beside her. There were many lords and ladies with dazzling clothes heavy with jewels. A woman brought up the baby twins, Serenity and Tranquillity. She handed Tranquillity to Sol who took his son gently in his arms. Serenity took her daughter. Unfortunately both babies started crying in protest at being separated. Queen Serenity smiled and gave her daughter to Sol. immediately the babies stopped crying. "Well now we all now where Serena gets her volume when it comes to...hey!" snapped Mars as Venus elbowed her in the ribs. "Shhh," Venus said and held her finger to her lips. "I give you my son, Prince Tranquillity, heir to the Sun Kingdom," said King Sol as he laid his hand on his son's forehead. A golden sun appeared and the crowd burst out in applause. Serenity took the twins. "I give you my daughter, Princess Serenity, heir to the moon kingdom," said the queen and gently touched her daughter's forehead. A crescent moon appeared. The crowd applauded even louder. The scouts looked on in awe at the event and didn't notice a man and boy slip into the shadows but Tuxedo Mask did. "That brat of Sol's is going to cause trouble," said the boy who looked to be 10. "Be patient, Australis, the Sun Kingdom will be ours as well as the Light Kingdom," said the man. Tuxedo Mask recognized the voice immediately. It was the same man, Borealis, who showed up with Queen Eclipse last night. "Come, we need to return to the party before we are missed," said Borealis and they returned back to the room. "Hey scouts, remember that man that accompanied Queen Eclipse last night?" asked Tuxedo. The Scouts nodded. "Well he and young Australis was just talking about taking over the Sun and Light Kingdom," said Tuxedo Mask. "He gave me the creeps last night," said Sailor Sun. "I knew he was up to something!" said Sailor Jupiter angrily. The falcon let out a screech and dropped 2 small objects into Sailor Sol's hands. They were a small golden sun set with topazes and a small silver moon set with diamonds. "How beautiful!" exclaimed Sailor Mercury. The others agreed. Sailor Sol took off the necklace with the crystal globe and laid it next to the sun and moon. There was a flash of light and a small sun and moon were floating inside the crystal. "Cool," exclaimed Sailor Sun. The falcon swooped down over the scout's heads and led them though the door. "I guess these are the first and second keys," said Sailor Mars. To be continued...
