The Forgotten Guardian ~ Chapter  12

"You are my fire,
 The one desire
 Believe when I say
 I want it that way, 
Though we are 2 worlds apart, 
Can't reach to your heart, 
When you say I want it that way..." came the Backstreet Boys over the radio. Alexis sighed and switched the station. 

"Well maybe I'm too good for you, 
Do you believe in life after love?" She really didn't feel like Cher either and switched the station. 

"When I fall in love it will be forever
 Or I'll never give my heart, 
In a restless world like this is,
 Love has ended before it's begun 
And too many moon light kisses 
Seem to cool in the warmth of the sun..." the song wasn't making her feel any better. She finally turned off the radio. Each song she heard was making her feel worse. She picked up the phone and dialed collect. 
	"Hey Felicity, is Mom there?" asked Alexis. 
	"Alex!" came the excited little girl's voice. 
	"Hey girl, get mom," said Alexis. 
	"Hey honey, how's Japan?" asked her Mom. 
	"I want to go home Mom," said Alexis. 
	"For a vacation?" asked her Mom. 
	"No, Mom I want to leave Tokyo and come home and finish my sophomore year in Virginia," explained Alexis. 
	"Caleb! Get the cat out of the sink! Ben don't push Eathen around," yelled her Mom to the others. 
	"You want to come home to this zoo? What happened honey?" asked her mom. 	"Nothing. I just miss Virginia," protested Alexis. 
	"Alex, I have never known you to quit on anything," said her Mom. 
	"I am not quitting!" said Alexis. 
	"Is there a boy involved?" asked her Mom. Alexis gasped softly in surprise. "Mom I just want to go home. I'll be there tomorrow evening," said Alexis and hung up the phone. 
	"Alex you better hurry up or I'll your gonna be late for school," yelled Mrs. Lee. Alexis groaned and grabbed her skates and bookbag.

	She was near. Tranquillity looked up from the book he had been studying to search the room. 
	"Mist. I know you are there. Come out," commanded Tranq. She stepped out from the shadows as if she had just appeared in the room. It was creepy how she could enter a room without being seen, like a ghost. But she was real; their kiss had proven that almost half a year earlier. 
	"You suddenly appear after being gone for 6 months. Why? Where do you go?" he asked. She stared at him with her large violet eyes. Nothing had changed about her. Same dress, same hairstyle and length. Same everything. 
	"Some things are beyond my control," she said quietly. 
	"Then where do you go?" asked Tranq. She refused to answer. 
	"After that night I never saw you again till now. I can't do this Mist. I can't try to hold onto something that will just disappear like a dream," said Tranq. 
	"Dreams don't disappear. They are just forgotten," said Mist quietly. "I am going to marry someone else," said Tranq as he watched her look at him in surprise. 
	"Who?" she asked. 
	"The Princess of the Light Kingdom," he answered watching her. 
	"You can't," she said firmly. 
	"Why not?" asked Tranq in annoyance as he crossed his arms and leaned against the wall. 
	"Something is going to happen, what it is I don't know. But it is going to happen soon. You can't," begged Mist. 
	"You speak in riddles," he said angrily and started walking out of the room. He turned to say something farther just to find Mist was gone. 
The alarm clock rang awakening Travis. He ran his fingers through his hair to try to make out his dream or flashback. 
	"Why are you doing this to me Pluto?!" yelled Travis angrily.

	Serenity whirled in her partner's arms. She sighed with content as she stared deeply into his twinkling blue eyes. The music came to an end and the couples clapped in appreciation of the orchestra. 
	"Endy, your back," said a young woman in a rainbow gown. A delicate pearl crown adorned her white hair. 
	"Aurora is that you? What happened?" asked Endy with shock. Aurora laughed merrily. "It's the hair, it's hard to get used to. When I took the crown my hair changed from black to white. Weird huh?" asked Aurora with a smile. 
	"It does get some time to get used to," admitted Endy with a grin. 
	"I am so sorry to hear about the death of your mother, I imagine it must have been very hard for you," said Serenity seriously. 
	"Yes but Australis has been a great help to me. How was the peace meetings on Pluto?" asked 
Aurora. Endymion looked at her in surprise. 
	"Why do you ask? Your mother would usually have to drag you kicking and screaming to any politic meetings. They were boring. Many people are alarmed because the Negaverse is getting so close," said Endy. 
	"I guess its because I am queen now. Austarlis is teaching me all about Politics so I can run my kingdom," said Aurora with a smile. 
	"But I thought your mother and Setsuna taught you those things," said Endy with a confused look on his face. 
	"Endy I am surprised at you! This is a party, stop being so serious!" said Tranq with a laugh as he led Aurora away. 
	"Look," said Serenity as she pointed to a young man staring coldly over the dancers. 
	"That's Australis. I think it would be best to keep away from him. But he is keeping the Light kingdom together. Rebels killed most of the head leaders. According to Aurora, he is keeping things together," said Endymion. 
	"He gives me the creeps," said Serenity as she gave a little shiver as Australis looked straight at her. 
	"Wait here," said Endymion and ran off to another part of the ballroom. He came back leading Mist with her arms full of roses. 
	"Pick your favorites," said Endy. Serenity selected white and red roses. With that, Mist preceded to weave them in her hair. She smiled as she finished. "Thank you Mist," said Serenity with a smile as she hugged Endymion. Mist gave a graceful curtsy. 
	"I would like to make an announcement," came Tranq's rich tenor voice. Every head turned to see what was going on. "Aurora and I shall be wed during the spring festival," he announced. Cheers rose from the crowd as Tranq kissed his blushing partner. Only Serenity and Endymion saw the tears form in Mist's eyes as she ran from the room.

		Alexis looked at her watch. 7 minutes till the tardy bell. She grinned as she saw girl with long blonde ponytails running toward the school. 	"Careful Serena Usagi Tskino. You're gonna be late," yelled Alexis with a grin. 	
	"Totally unfair," gasped Serena. They both neared some steps. 
	"How you gonna make it down these?" asked Serena. 
	"Take the short cut," yelled Alexis back. She jumped and slid down the handrail. 
	"That is totally awesome," said Serena as she ran down the steps. Alexis grinned and picked up her pace leaving the blonde behind her. She grinned as she neared the school. She skated sharply around a corner just to run into someone. "Owww," yelped Alexis as she landed on her butt. 
	"Good going, Alex," said Travis sarcastically. Alexis looked up to see him smiling. 
	"Thanks for the sympathy," replied Alexis as she picked herself off the pavement. 
	"No problem," joked Travis. He was just like normal. Maybe the absence of Aurora would have to do something with that. 
	"You're gonna be late Alex," said Travis and held up his own pass. 
	"I am going. Goodbye Travis," said Alexis as she skated away. 

	"Oh Travis! You are so funny!" laughed Aurora with delight. Travis grinned as Aurora snuggled up to him on the park bench. Suddenly a dark large portal opened up. 
	"What is that Travis?" asked Aurora with a frown. Scilite stepped out and glared at the couple. 
	"Scilite!" swore Travis under his breath glaring at the general in front of him. He clenched his fists in anger. 
	"What do you want?" asked Travis never taking his eyes off Scilite. 
	"None of your concern. You are not who I am after. You are," said Scilite as he pointed to Aurora. A dark ball of energy surrounded the frightened Aurora. 	"Travis help!" she yelled as both she and Scilite disappeared. 

	Alexis built up speed as she skated up the sloped side of the ramp. She grabbed the end and did a back flip received cheers from the people who gathered to watch. She did another twist and slowed down. She had been doing intense skating for an hour and her muscles where feeling every minute of it. She took off her helmet and sat down on the edge of the ramp to take off her skates. 	"Alex, that was totally awesome," said Serena who had been watching with Rae, Darien and Ami. Lita and Mina had been with them but were now flirting with some guys at another skating ramp. Alexis shrugged, 
	"It was ok." The 3 looked at her in amazement. 
	"Are you feeling ok? That was the best skating I've seen in my life," said Rae. 
	"Ditto," spoke up Darien. Alexis smiled, 
	"Thanks guys."  Suddenly Travis ran up to the group. 
	"I need to talk to you guys," he looked at Alexis, frowned, and added, "Alone." The others shrugged and followed him away. Alexis watched them go. What is up with that guy? One minute he's good old friendly Travis, the next he was as cold as ice. What was with that? The guy was hard to figure out.

	"This better be good. You could've been a little nicer to Alex you know," commented Darien a bit sourly. 
	"She can deal with it, this is serious. Scilite showed up and took Aurora," he said. 
	"Aurora? Why would any one want her?" asked Rae as she wrinkled up her nose. Travis glared at her. 
	"The question is, do you think he knows who we are? I mean he could've kidnapped her to get back at you, Travis. Or maybe she is the Light Princess and the Sun Guardian," said Serena.  
	"We better have a scout meeting. Rei, go get the girls and we will meet you guys at Serena's house. Sorry Sere but its closest. For Darien shake I hope your father isn't there," said Travis. 
	"He isn't," said Serena. 
	"Alright let's go," said Darien. The guys turned to leave. I'll catch up with you guys in a minute. I am going to say bye to Alex," said Serena. She ran over the ramp. 
	"Alex, something came up, we gotta go. Bye," called out Serena. Alexis waved back.
	"Stop drooling.... We got work to do," said Rae as she dragged the 2 reluctant girls from the company of 2 very gorgeous guys. 

	The door flew open as Serena ran into the room. Luna and Artamis looked at her in amazement. 
	"Where are you going?" asked Luna. 
	"I'm gonna be late!" whined Serena as she started shifting through her dresser. "So what's new?" asked Apollo who just flew into the room. 
	"No comments from the peanut gallery," snapped Serena as she started throwing clothes out of her dresser drawers. 
	"What are you looking for?" asked Luna as she dodged a flying T-shirt. "My wand!" said Serena. 
	"You lost it!" exclaimed Artamis as he dodged some pants. 
	"NO! Its here somewhere," snapped Serena. 
	"You keep it in your dresser?" asked Apollo with amazement. 
	"Oh I don't want to hear anything from you considering this is all Travis's fault," snapped Serena. 
	"Why do you say that?" asked Artamis. 
	"Because his girlfriend got taken by the Negaverse! So we have to meet an hour early! I haven't gone to bed at a descent hour for the past week!" rattled Serena. 
	"Alexis was taken by the Negaverse? That's awful!" exclaimed Apollo. The cats nodded in agreement. 
	"Where have you been? Travis is going out with Aurora!" said Serena. She finally pulled out the wand. 
	"Ah here it is! Got to go!" she yelled and ran out of the room. 
	"We gotta stop her!" exclaimed Apollo. 
	"Why?" asked the cats together. 
	"Because don't you remember?" asked Apollo. Luna and Artamis shook their heads. 
	"Princess Aurora. I bet you, that's who they are talking about. I can't believe I didn't know! I am defiantly gonna have to keep a closer eye on that boy!" exclaimed the golden falcon. 
	"What are you talking about?" yelled Luna. Artamis and Apollo looked at her in amazement. 
	"She's defiantly picking up Serena's characteristics," said Artamis as he rubbed his ear with his paw. 
	"Am not," protested Luna. Apollo spoke up, interrupting the cats, 
	"What I am saying is that on the night when the Negaverse attacked the Moon Kingdom, Aurora murdered Tranquillity."
