Author’s Note: Well, this one will make no sense unless you read the first one. But since it’s been a long time for most of you I’ll give ya a little background. After the last battle was fought with Sailor Galaxia, all of the Negaverse warriors who had turned good came back to life with no memory of their former lives. Well, Minako met Sapphir and they fell in love and got engaged (awwwww how sweet. I’m a sucker for a good love story) One of the former warriors remembered his hatred for the senshi and attacked them. He wounded Rei and was about to kill Minako when Sapphir jumped in front and took the blow. He was killed and as Minako thinks, a part of her died then. Anywho . . . they had just graduated and Minako was sitting by herself imagining she was with Sapphir when she heard a voice say, “Mina-chan.” She opened her eyes and stares into blue ones. Then she faints. I’m sorry about the cliff hanger! Please forgive me! I’m going to do it again! Disclaimer: I don’t own Sailor Moon or any of it’s characters. A really nice lady named Naoko Takecuchi does along with Kodansha, and TOEI Animation. They have since they copyrighted it in 1992. BROKEN HEARTS Chapter Two Usagi, Rei, Makoto, and Ami rushed over when they saw Minako faint. “Minako?!” Usgai cried as she lifted her friend’s head to lay in her lap. “Is she all right?” a strange and yet familiar voice asked from above the group of girls kneeling beside Minako. “I think she’ll be fine,” Makoto said. The man leaned down where the others couldn’t see his face and picked up Minako’s hand. “Mina-chan, I’m sorry,” he whispered and kissed the hand. He then leaned over and kissed Minako on the lips. “Why do you call her Mina-chan?”Rei asked. “Only her friends call her that.” “Minako-san?! Is she all right?” Mamoru asked running over. “She fainted,” Usagi answered. “Mina-chan, please wake up,” the man whispered. He kissed the ring she wore and then he looked up. Usagi saw him first and gasped. The rest of the girls turned to look. The man’s face was familiar and his eyes were the colors of the sapphire stone in Mina’s ring. He wore a blue shirt with white slacks. His hair was a deep shiny blue, like his eyes and the stone. Minako moaned and they all turned their attention to her. Her eyes fluttered before she opened them and blinked to focus. “What happened?” she whispered. “Come on, Mina-chan, let’s stand up,” the man said. “Here, I’ll get you on your other side, Minako-san,” Mamoru said. “Thank you, Mamoru,” she said. She stood up shakingly and turned to see who had helped her up but he was gone. After the dance all of the girls were at Rei’s temple. “What happened?” Rei asked. “Are you going to tell us?” “Well, Rei-chan, I was imagining I was with Sapphir and then he kissed me and whispered ‘Mina-chan.’ I opened my eyes and I stared into a pair of blue eyes just like his and then I blacked out, I guess. Because the next thing I remember is the same voice whispering ‘Mina-chan, are you all right?’” “You certainly scared us, Mina,” Mako whispered. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to, Mako-chan.” Mako gave Minako a hug and then Rei reached her arms around them, then Ami, and finally Usagi. “Help! A youma!” They heard in the distance. “The Sailor Senshi are back!” Usagi said. “Moon Eternal Make-Up!” “Venus Crystal Power! Make-Up!” “Mars Crystal Power! Make-Up!” “Jupiter Crystal Power! Make-Up!” “Mercury Crystal Power! Make-Up!” The five newly transformed senshi raced to where they heard the screams. The youma turned and said, “Welcome, Sailor Senshi.” Prepare to die. Eternal Sailor Moon used her power and attacked the monster. “Venus Love and Beauty Shock!” Super Sailor Venus cried. The youma was visibly weakend and then Super Sailor Jupiter did her power. “Jupiter Oak Evolution!” The youma died. “I wonder what that was all about,” Jupiter said to Venus. “I think I know. I feel it,” Venus answered. “He’s back and they turned him.” “Who’s back?” Mercury asked. “I have a bad feeling about this, too,” Mars said. The three of them were back in Rei’s room. Rei was in front of the Great Fire and was asking it for help. “Now please, everyone, concentrate on the youma we saw,” Rei said and then turned to the fire. “Please, Great Fire, tell me who sent the youma today, and what does he want?” The fire flickered and nothing appeared. “I’m sorry, Minako, the fire’s powers are being blocked by a strong force,” Rei said turning to Minako. She turned back to the fire. “Great Fire, what does he want?” The fire flickered and a picture of Minako appeared, vivisbly distotrted. In this picture, Minako was evil. Minako gasped and then the spell was broken and the picture disappeared. “I’m sorry, Rei-chan! I didn’t mean to lose concentration!” Mina cried. “It’s okay, Mina, it’s understandable,” Rei said and gave her a hug. As the girls slept Minako sat on the steps outside of the temple. She sat with her knees to her chest and she hugged her knees with her head laying on her knees. She sighed. “Why so sad, Mina-chan?” a voice asked. Mina stood up and whirled around. She saw him and started to run to him and she tripped over the stairs and fell. He caught her before she hit the ground and held her in his arms. Minako buried her face in his chest and wept for all that she had lost. “Oh, Mina-chan, don’t cry,” he whispered stroking her hair. “Please do not cry, it makes me so sad.” “I can’t help it! I missed you so much! And now I must have gone to sleep because you can’t be here!” Minako started sobbing all over again. Sapphir leaned over and kissed her gently and she returned his kissed. When they broke away both of their mouths were swollen. “Sapphir-senpai, I missed you,” she whispered. “I missed you to, Minako-chan,” he said. “This isn’t real is it?” she asked with tears in her eyes. “This may be a dream but I am here to protect you against the evil that will soon befall you.” Minako pushed back from him. “What do you mean?” she asked. “I mean that my former self the Negaverse warrior has come back and he seems to want you, Mina-chan.” “You mean you’re not real?” she asked and then she turned away and cried out “No!” Then she was startled by a handing pushing her shoulder, “Minako! Are you all right? Wake up, Minako!” Minako opened her eyes to Usagi and Rei standing over her. Ami and Makoto stood off to one side. “Sapphir-senpai, where did he go?” “Minako-chan, no one’s here but us, you were dreaming,” Usagi chded her softly. “Yes, dreaming,” she whispered. She held a hand and touched her bruised lips and smiled faintly. Makoto looked at Minako and saw the bruised mouth and the faint smile. It was the first time she had truly smiled since Sapphir-sama had died. “Come on, Mina-chan, let’s go inside and you can tell us all about your dream,”Mako said and helped the blonde girl up. With Mako and Minako leading the way the girls went back inside the temple. Minako sat at her apartment and turned on the television. It was a show from England and she sat down to watch it when a news story came on about a robbery. “Sources say that it appears to be the mysterious figure idol Sailor V who used to help out the police around here.” The camera cut to a picture of someone who looked like Sailor V climb out of a window with a bag over her shoulder. “I wonder who that is,” Minako murmured. A familiar tall brown haired lady came on the scene. “Katerina?” Minako said and sat up straight. “I know the identity of Sailor V and her whereabouts at this moment and we are sending a police team over to get her.” Minako looked at the woman’s glazed eyes and realized she was under a spell. “I’ve got to help her!” Minako cried. Minako stepped off the train in the England station and was immediately overwhelmed with a feeling of being home again. No, my home is Tokyo, with Sapphire. Her eyes filled with tears. Now, I don’t have a home, I don’t have Sapphire! “Miss, are you all right?” someone asked and Minako turned around to be confronted by a familiar face. She gasped. “Alan?” she asked. “Yes?” Minako stared at the man who had prompted her move to Tokyo four years ago. “You don’t remember me? I guess not I look different. It’s me, Minako.” Alan gasped. “Minako, is it really you?” “Yes! I came to see Katerina. Is she okay?” “I don’t know we broke up soon after she came back from Japan a while back. She seemed okay at the time.” “I’m sorry about that. Are you okay?” “I’m doing great actually. I’m married now, my wife’s expecting our first baby. We think it’s going to be a girl.” “That’s great!” Once the news would have saddened Minako greatly but now she was truly happy for him. “Where are you staying in town?” Alan asked. “I was going to book into a hotel.” “No need, you can stay in our guest room. My wife will love the company. I still have some pictures of us and she was really curious about you.” “I’d like that, thanks,” Minako said with a smile. Minako followed Alan into his house and a woman came out to greet them. She had long purple hair and green blue eyes and she was wiping her hands on an apron. “Mariana, please meet Minako, I ran into her at the train station and she’s come for a visit. I told her she could have our guest room.” “That sounds like a lovely idea!” Mariana said. “Do you have a nickname or do you go by Minako all the time?” “My friends sometimes call me Mina, and my closest friends call me Mina-chan, you may do either if you’d like,” Minako said with a smile. “Mina-chan, I like that. What does it mean?” “It’s basically a term of endearment because they are my closest friends.” “That’s really cute.” “Thank you,” Minako said and smiled. “Let me show you to your room, Mina,” Mariana said. “That would be lovely, arigato,” Minako said. Minako laid stretched out across the bed asleep, unbeknownst to her she was being watched but in her restless dreams she felt the presence of the eyes on her. In her dream she was dressed as Sailor V, it was before she had run away because she still lived in England with her parents. She was fighting the monster sent by the evil Danburite-sama from the Dark Agency and she had just defeated him with a cry of “Sailor V Kick!” and a vicious kick to his head when the police arrived. That was when she first met Katrina and Alan. She had been saving Alan from the monster and Katrina was with the police. “V-chan, thank you for saving me,” Alan said and smiled at her. And she thought she was in love with him. But what she didn’t notice was Katrina and Alan’s eyes meeting and holding and it was obvious to everyone but her that they were in love. She also remembered how Katrina had found her out. She had run behind a Coke machine to change and Katrina saw her run in as Aino Minako and run out as Sailor V. She felt a hand on her shoulder and she jumped at the touch. “I am sorry to startle you, Minako, but dinner is ready,” Alan said. “Thank you, Alan,” Minako said with a false smile that he accepted as real. Back in Tokyo Makoto stood at Mina’s front door and leaned on the doorbell. “Where is that stubborn girl?” she asked herself. She flipped the top on her watch communicator and called Ami. “Ami, can you get a track on Minako?” she asked. “Sure, but why?” “She’s gone.” “Gone?! What do you mean, Mako?” “She’s not at her apartment and I can’t get ahold of her anywhere.” “It must be because of what was on the news!” Ami exclaimed. “What’s going on Ami?!” Mako cried. “Meeting at the temple at 6:00. Be there, we’ll find her,” Ami said and broke the connection. At 6:00 when Ami and Mako arrived together (they ran into each other outside the gate) Rei and Usagi were arguing. “What is Usagi doing here?” Mako asked “She got here 15 minutes early to make sure she was on time. I told her my plan to use the Great Fire and she said we need to get the others here.” “You mean, Hotaru, Michiru, and Haruka?” Ami asked. “Hai, and Usagi says we need to call Setsuna, too.” “Yes, it is a good idea we need all the Sailor strength we can get. I received a message from the lights and they were supposed to be in town to visit us so they can come to.” “Okay, let’s everybody join hands and send a telepathic thought to them so they can come.” The four remaining inner senshi joined hands and sent a thought out into the darkened night to ask for help. “Now what?” Usagi asked. “Now we wait,” Rei said grimly. “I’m scared for Minako,” Makoto said siting down and hugging her knees. “I am, too, but we must wait for the others.” Just then they heard a screech from the street as a car slammed on it’s brakes outside of the temple. Usagi smiled, “Haruka must be here.” “Hopefully she and Michy are still alive,” Ami said with a smile. When a tall blonde with short hair walked up with a beautiful woman with wavy turquoise hair all of the girls smiled. And when Hotaru walked up behind them they all ran for an uncharacteristic group hug. There was a flash of light a mist and then Pluto appeared dressed in her fuku. With another flash she changed and she was plain old Setsuna again. “It’s so good to see you guys again,” Usagi said. Just then another screech from the street told them of the arrival of the last three members of the senshi. “The last three are here,” Rei said. Seiya, Yaten, and Taiki ran up the steps and stopped at the sight of the sad and serious faces of the group. The three boys started walking closer and Seiya said, “What’s wrong?” “Minako has disappeared. We were going to do a reading on the Fire but Usagi fears she has left the country and that we will need all of us to help locate her,” Rei said. All of the senshi walked inside of the temple. They sat by the Great Fire and concentrated on Minako. “I can feel her!” Rei said excitedly. “So can I,” Yaten said. “You would,” Seiya said and elbowed him in the ribs. “Concentrate!” Usagi ordered as Yaten accidentally kicked her while trying to hit Seiya. “Where is she Rei?” Makoto asked. “She is, hold on.” Rei gasped. “What is it?” Ami asked. “Minako’s in England!” Rrei exclaimed. All of the senshi dropped the hands of the others and sat still. Setsuna then stood up and said, “I know what will happen if we do not get to her in time. Come let’s go out. You must listen.” “No, Setsuna! You could get in trouble for telling us this!” Usagi exclaimed. “So let it be,” she said softly. They sat around Makoto’s kitchen and all eyes were riveted on Setsuan as she began her story. “When we defeated Galaxia the evil was said supposed to have been destroyed. But all of it was not. For out there now is an even stronger force of evil than Chaos.” “What is it?” Usagi interrupted. “Shut up, ogango head!” Rei said and kicked her. “She was just about to tell us!” “Well you’re not helping any by keeping talking!” Usagi exclaimed. “Usagi, Rei,” Michiru said in her sweet voice. “Shut up!” Both of the girls lapsed into silence suprised that Michiru had raised her voice like that at them. “When Sapphir was killed his evil was once again allowed to take over. But evil without a body grows stronger every day. Sapphir is now evil again and is stronger than even Chaos was ever. And he is still in love with Minako. He will do anything to get her. And in the end he does,” Setsuna said. All of the senshi gasped. “Is there anything we can do to stop this?” Yaten asked. “Yes, there is one thing,” Setsuna replied gravely. “What?!” “We stay right here and go about our lives and she will die.” Author’s Ending Note: Well, I have to keep up with these cliff hangers.
